Wronged by the sun

  • Trattoria L'Oliva 62 High Road Nottingham, England, NG9 2JP United Kingdom (map)

Liverpool-born poet Nadia Martelli will read out from her striking debut collection, Wronged by the Sun. Across these poems, Nadia navigates the emotion of loss, the labyrinth of memories, and the fragile work of reclaiming the self. At times, the imagery is visceral or dreamlike—teeth snapping shut, wolves and ghosts circling, Saturn tilted on its axis—yet the lines are always rooted in the deeply human. Whether confronting the ache of separation, the grind of survival, or the flicker of a hope that endures, Nadia Martelli writes with both fierceness and vulnerability.

Wronged by the Sun is now available on Amazon and a copy will also be available at L’Oliva after the event.

Other publications including Wheelsong Poetry Anthology 6 is available at Waterstones and on Amazon.

The event is free, however, Nadia has ask for a voluntary donation to Save the Children, no matter how small.
